Bilgin Electric Inc. was established in 1994 to operate in electricity
generation, transmission and distribution fields. Bilgin Electric
continues to make investments in the Turkish energy sector; particularly
in hydroelectric and wind energy fields.
Bilgin Electric Inc. has taken over the operation rights of Hazar I-II
HEPP situated at Elazığ - east part of Turkey. Company’s proposal
concerning the refurbishment of the plants and increasing the water
sources was accepted in 1994 and the actual work has been started in
1996. Installed capacity of Hazar I is 19,8 MW and Hazar II is 10 MW,
amounting to a total capacity of 29,8 MW. The plants are being operated
under TOR model and our company has the right to operate the plants
until 2022.
Company'S most recent project, Bucakkışla HES in Karaman province of Turkey,
is expected to be under operation in 2010. It has a total capacity of 33.5 MW.
Bilgin Electric is still supporting other group companies in developing
water and wind energy projects. |
